Scope of Position:  The Manager, Repair and Maintenance is responsible for all repair and maintenance activities supporting the six foundation ministries and support services.  Daily responsibilities include prioritizing, planning, and scheduling work orders for team members, maintaining work order system, carrying out preventative maintenance (including annual inspections), maintenance project planning, supporting capital project planning, tracking budgets, and other maintenance opportunities as required.  Strong Servant Leadership, excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple jobs are success factors for this position.  

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Create a serving, welcoming, and relationally safe environment for all that interact with the Facilities Department
  • Scope, prioritize, plan, and schedule work orders for repair and maintenance team
  • Maintain work order system through regular auditing and updating of contact listing, asset listing, tasks, and task procedures (preventative maintenance)
  • Support and/or consult on projects and project planning by detailing scopes as it pertains to asset specifications, routine maintenance of assets, and expected life of assets
  • Ensure that team members adhere to OSHA required policies as it pertains to PPE, safe guarding and working at heights
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with governing regulations as it pertains to systems maintenance.
  • Collaborate with Facilities Leadership to develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure efficient operation and the setting of clear expectations for our staff and vendors
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Serve on the Operations Management Team
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Assistant Director of Facilities

Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree in engineering, related field or minimum of 5 years management experience in repair and maintenance
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in supervising, coaching and developing staff
  • Working knowledge of 3 phase power, single phase power, refrigeration systems, pumps, and plumbing / piping systems
  • Ability to read MEP drawings and P&ID diagrams
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office programs
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Multi-tasking capabilities and attention to detail
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with peers and vendors
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Committed to being present at appropriate times to work - 40/45 hours per week, all shifts, all days
