Scope of Position:

Serve on the Leadership Team, lead the Program Function Team and coordinate the design and delivery of all programming elements to ensure that camp is fun, safe and relevant to the camper’s age and encourages spiritual growth in their lives. Ensure excellence in execution through real-time problem solving and constant evaluation.

 

Reports to: Manager, WinShape Camps for Girls

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the design, delivery and evaluation of all camp wide events and activities.
  • Coordinate the development and planning of all program elements at Cohutta Spings
  • Coordinate the creation and implementation of new camp elements and progressive programming in response to continued camp growth.
  • Lead the Program Function Team to provide experiences that encourage the spiritual growth of campers to become more like Christ in the way they think, believe, and act.
  • Supervise the full-time team of designers and LIT at Mt. Berry and Cohutta Springs, ensuring excellence in their planning, delivery and development.
  • Hire, train and equip all summer program staff at Mt. Berry and Cohutta Springs and evaluate their abilities of delivery.
  • Develop, manage and evaluate the daily schedule(s) for all events and activities to maximize the overall camper experience in terms of relevance and fun.
  • Budget and coordinate purchasing of all supplies and equipment necessary for programming at WSCG Mt. Berry and Cohutta Springs.
  • Serve as a member of the Leadership Team in strategic planning and execution.
  • Serve on camp wide work teams as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in ministry or child related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years camp ministry experience.
  • Demonstrates creativity in activities and events.
  • Demonstrates project management skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to lead others well.
  • 50 – 75% overnight travel from mid-May to July 31st each year; 10 – 20% travel during remaining nine months each year.
  • Maintain regular office hours in the WinShape Camps office, Atlanta.
  • An evangelical believer actively involved in a church and living out his/her faith on a daily basis; agrees with the camp’s Statement of Faith and supports the vision, values and philosophies of the camp.
