Scope of Position: The A/V Specialist serves WinShape Retreat groups on specialized and advanced audio-visual needs. This position provides additional assistance to the Conference Services team including, but not limited to, pre-event contact with group leaders to determine A/V needs, pre-event setup, A/V and setup services during events, post-event break-down and cleanup; the oversight, maintenance operation and security of all sound and video equipment used both on and off the Retreat property.


Reports to: Manager of Conference Services




  • Participate in the collection of A/V and Conference Services information from our incoming groups including, but not limited to, entry of A/V and event details in to Maestro and creation of room layout diagrams in Social Tables
  • Assist in the training of assigned staff member in the processes and procedures for A/V usage and setup and pre and post camp turnover
  • Assist in the use and safety of all A/V equipment throughout WinShape Retreat including maintenance, check-in/check-out process and equipment inventory
  • Perform and supervises any audio and video recording, multimedia and duplication projects for our groups and for WinShape Retreat departments, as directed
  • Be comfortable editing audio and video across multiple platforms.
  • Lead the team in any and all Audio and Video recording and productions.
  • Assist in the development of the Conference Services budget
  • Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned by the Manager of Conference Services


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Minimum of 3 years direct experience with A/V equipment, as well as, professional A/V editing software i.e. Sound Forge, Vegas, Final Cut Pro, Premier Pro and ProTools
  • Demonstrated proficiency in use of Windows and Mac based computers, including Microsoft Office products, Pro Presenter, Media Shout, Easy Worship and Keynote
  • Organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work effectively in an environment with competing demands
  • Exhibit a positive and cooperative attitude with the ability to be proactive, resourceful and flexible
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift/carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
