Purpose:  To strategically create and cultivate relationships with campers, parents, and summer staff in order to uniquely care for campers and nurture spiritual growth while being consistent with the purpose and mission of WinShape Camps for Girls.


Reports to:  Program Manager, WinShape Camps for Girls


  • Hire and train Summer Leadership and Cabin/Sweet Life Summer Staff to set them up for success in their positions and ensure the highest quality of character, compatibility , competencies and performance excellence.
  • Serve as an acting member of the Coordinator Leadership Team to provide input in the creation of the ministry plan each year and to ensure goals and objectives are effectively accomplished with excellence. 
  • Hire, train, develop and supervise the Camper Care Specialist.
  • Ensure a safe environment with opportunities for campers to develop spiritually, emotionally and socially throughout the summer and year-round.
  • Coordinate all aspects of Cabin/Sweet Life, Creek Tribe, Journey to Comanche, Staff Connect, SubStrengths and ReNew.
  • Submit and monitor budgets to insure fiscal responsibilities for all areas related to Camper Care. 
  • Coordinate communication projects including the Staff Manual, Staff Handbook and Parent/Camper Handbook as it relates to WinShape Camps for Girls.
  • Manage the process and authorization of scholarship recipients and discounts. 
  • Supervise the planning and execution of Preview Day in conjunction with WinShape Camps for Boys. 
  • Serve as the advisor and liaison with parents, summer healthcare support staff and summer staff alumnae.
  • Assume responsibility of all other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or related field of study
  • Minimum 3 years of previous camp experience
  • Experience directly leading and managing a team of at least 3 people
  • Demonstrated skill in:
    • Written and verbal communication
    • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong leadership qualities and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Travel about 50-75% from mid-May through July. Travel 10-20% out of Atlanta, GA during the remaining 9 months of the year
  • Maintain regular office hours in the WinShape Camps office in Atlanta, GA
  • An evangelical believer actively involved in a church and living out his/her faith on a daily basis; agrees with the camp’s Statement of Faith and supports the vision, values and philosophy of the camp.
