    Scope:  The Facilitator will support WinShape Teams programs by; effectively executing program day plans, maintaining equipment and resources, and support Programming leadership in the continued growth and development of programs.

     

    Reports To: Coordinator, Programming

    Responsibilities

    • Facilitate program experiences for WinShape Teams participants in various venues, including but not limited to challenge courses, indoor venues, experiential classroom and outdoor environments
    • Maintain and continually develop in the proficiency standards that have been set for WinShape Teams; primarily those established by ACCT for Challenge Course Facilitators
    • Review program write-ups and day plans; follow and/or develop activity sequences
    • Perform program set up and take down needs for the challenge course, major activities, initiatives and backcountry experiences
    • Facilitate and continually develop WinShape Teams’ challenge course, major activities, initiative and backcountry experiences
    • Perform maintenance, inspections and repairs of challenge course, major activities and other programming equipment
    • Engage and lead clients through a safe learning experience
    • Manage relationships between participants throughout the entirety of the program
    • Debrief and discuss program content using experiential means
    • Perform the duties required for First Aid and CPR when needed
    • Drive WinShape Foundation vehicles as needed
    • Other tasks deemed beneficial for the ongoing development of WinShape Teams
    • Maintain WinShape Teams documents; action items, repairs, rope logs, after action reports, etc.

    Qualifications

    • Completed 1 year of college or has 1 year of post-high school work experience
    • ACCT Level I Challenge Course Practitioner Certificate Preferred, if not currently certified, able to obtain certificate within 6 months of hire date
    • First Aid & CPR Certification (Wilderness or Urban) Preferred
    • Able to work at height, lift and move 50 lbs. and be capable of moderate activity for extended periods of time
    • Prior work experience related to working with small groups or teams
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Adaptable to new challenges and change, and able to work well individually and in a team environment
    • Good time management skills
    • Basic proficiency in Microsoft programs, internet programs and smartphone and tablet applications
    • Available to work 20-40 hours per week, able to work nights and weekends when necessary
    • Support and work in concert with the WinShape Teams Core Ideology and Unique Essentials

    FLSA Status:   Part-time, Non-Exempt
