    Scope of Position: Manages the day-to-day operations of the Front of House in the Food Service department. This includes all meals and breaks served in the Great Hall and other designated areas and scheduling staff members in support of these activities.

    Reports to: Assistant Manager of Guest Services, Dining

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise and oversee day-to-day operations of the Front of House staff in the Food Service department including, but not limited to, scheduling staff members based on Retreat needs and inspecting dining and break setup to ensure a positive guest dining experience
    • Provide support for the setup of the Great Hall, break areas and other locations, as needed, and participate in the service of meals and/or breaks on a regular basis
    • Oversees stocking of all beverage stations at WinShape Retreat, including both guest and staff areas
    • Communicate with other Food Service and Conference Services’ staff members, as needed, to effectively execute all food and beverage events at WinShape Retreat
    • Mentor and counsel staff to maintain peak performance levels and follow dining standards
    • Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
    • 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience
    • ServSafe certified preferred
    • Valid driver’s license preferred
    • Ability to lead and train others and develop a strong working relationship with staff assigned and with representatives of other departments
    • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as, beginning proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Organizational skills with strong attention to detail
    • Ability to prioritize work effectively in an environment with competing demands
    • Exhibit a positive and cooperative attitude with the ability to be proactive, resourceful, and flexible
