  • Overview



    Scope of Position:  The Coordinator, Projects will support the Facilities driven capital and expense projects supporting the six foundation ministries and support services.  Serving in this role will encompass project planning and implementation for structures and grounds on the mountain campus of Berry College and within the (14) Homes located in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee.


    Reports to:  Manager, Projects


    • Creates a serving, welcoming, and relationally safe environment for all that interact with the Facilities Department
    • Manages project planning, which includes defining ministry case (why), scope (what), and execution plan (how), and implementation as it pertains to building maintenance projects valuing up to $150,000 per instance
    • Creates project support documents, which include stakeholder meeting notes, request for proposals, proposal evaluations, and purchase requisitions
    • Annually inspects facilities (structures and grounds) on the mountain campus and within Homes ministry
    • Maintains project files for assigned projects
    • Creates and maintains contractor agreements in strategic locations to maintain mountain campus and (14) Homes properties located in southeastern United States (Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee)
    • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by the Manager, Projects


    • Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering (or related field), or equivalent work experience
    • Requires 3-5 years of related work experience
    • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Ability to communicate with clarity and simplicity
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers and vendors
    • Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends as business needs require
