    Reports to: Director, WinShape Marriage


    Scope of Position and General Summary

    This job will create engaging, Christ-centered, transformative marriage retreat experiences for couples from diverse backgrounds.  These retreats will take place primarily at WinShape Retreat, but also at strategic locations around the country. This person will also manage growing partnerships with like-minded ministries to provide intensives for a growing number of couples annually.  Through retreats and intensives, this job will leverage experiences of marital breakthrough for couples.



    • Provides strategic direction for execution and growth of WSM’s marriage retreat and intensives ministry
    • Creates and manages retreat programming to serve a varied audience in accordance with overall WSM vision and strategy
    • Is responsible for growing the number and quality of marriage retreats at WinShape Retreat and/or other locations year over year
    • Collaborates with WSM’s current and future intensives partners to provide a growing number of intensives for couples at WSR and other locations
    • Manages growing team of staff devoted to retreats and intensives
    • Maintains accountability for annual budget for retreats and intensives


    • A self-professing Christ-follower, actively pursuing his/her faith on a consistent basis
    •  Demonstrates a healthy and growing marriage
    •  Bachelor’s degree in related field, with preference given to advanced degree in ministry field and/or counseling
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in ministry, hospitality, or strategic event management
    • Able to perform multiple tasks and move from one project to another while leading the project to a successful completion
    • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and relating to all kinds of people
    • Exemplary planning and time management skills
    • Discretion and confidentiality
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or Keynote, OneNote)
    • Demonstrated ability to create solutions to complex problems
    • Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs and be highly responsive to requests
    •  Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
    •  Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a strong team player under time pressures without loss of poise, grace or humor
    • Ability to maintain a servant perspective, even in the midst of difficulties
    • High level of initiative and self-awareness
    • Must have an acceptable driving record
