    Scope of Position: The Events Assistant oversees the team that designs and implements all-student events for the WinShape College Program Residential Community at Mount Berry  including Monday Night Meetings, Community Week, and others. The Events Assistant supports Catalytic Event overseers to facilitate events when multiple campuses are represented.

     

    Reports to: Manager, WSCP Support Services

    Responsibilities

    • Leads a student team to design, market, and implement Community Week, ensuring events accomplish established purpose and metrics
    • Leads a team to design and implement 6-7 Monday Night Meetings per semester that accomplish the MNM purpose and metrics
    • Leads a student team to design and implement Thanksfeast and Senior Banquet for all WinShape Residential students at Mount Berry.
    • Maintains records of planning processes and event evaluations to enhance future events
    • Monitors Monday Night Meeting & Community Week budgets and expenses
    • Provides support to the planning and implementation of all Catalytic Events as the program expands to include students from multiple sites in one event
    • Assists with general office responsibilities

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
    • 3-5 years of experience in event planning
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Word and Excel
    • Demonstrated ability in establishing and maintaining relationships that increase the effectiveness of the Event Planning Team environment
    • Demonstrated ability to organize and mobilize multiple persons to accomplish their purposes and goals
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information
    • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills
    • A self-professing Christ follower, actively involved in a Christian faith community and actively pursuing Christ on a consistent basis
    • Has a passion for college students to know Jesus Christ and live for Him
    • Possess a valid driver’s license and has an acceptable driving record.

     

    FLSA Status: Temporary Part-Time, Non-Exempt
