Scope of Position:  The Project Coordinator, Construction Projects will support the Workplace and Property Services driven capital and expense projects supporting the foundation ministries and support services.  Serving in this role will encompass project planning and implementation for structures, supporting equipment, fleet, and grounds on the mountain campus of Berry College and within the WinShape off-campus properties.


Reports to:  Manager, Construction Projects


  • Creates a serving, welcoming, and relationally safe environment for all that interact with the Workplace and Property Services Department
  • Manages the project life cycle (initiating, planning, executing, monitor and control, and closeout) as it pertains to assigned building maintenance projects valuing up to $250,000 per instance
  • Maintains project files for assigned projects
  • Creates project support documentation, which include stakeholder meeting notes, statements of work, request for proposals, proposal evaluations, and purchase requisitions
  • Directs and manages contractor work as it pertains to preliminary planning and execution on assigned projects
  • Supports the maintenance of the project management system, process, and training as it pertains to being a functional Project Management Office (PMO) to the Foundation.
  • Annually inspects facilities (structures and grounds) on the mountain campus
  • Maintains contractor relationships in strategic locations to mountain campus and WinShape off-campus properties
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by the Manager, Construction Projects


  • Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering (or related field), or equivalent work experience (preferred)
  • Project Management Certified Professional (PMCP) Certification, or equivalent (preferred)
  • Real Estate Inspection Certification, or equivalent (preferred)
  • Requires 2-4 years of related work experience
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
  • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to communicate with clarity and simplicity
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers and vendors
  • Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends as business needs require
