Scope of Position: Assist in the hiring, training and development of Summer Staff, while propelling the purpose and mission of WinShape Camps for Communities. Help lead in the hiring and placement of camp teams.

 

Reports to: Team Leader, Summer Staff – Camps

Responsibilities

  • Supports recruiting inititaves by helping lead strategies to increase Summer Staff hiring numbers.
  • Helps develop and execute WinShape Camps for Communities Summer Staff events, specifically Director Weekend, Road 2 Summer Live, Leadership Weekend and Staff Training.
  • Serves as Point Team Lead/Point Team Member for WinShape Camps for Communities Traveling Teams by conducting on-site visits and providing support throughout their summer.
  • Executes staff communication projects including the Summer Staff Manual, Summer Staff Handbooks and regular emails.
  • Serves as member of the WinShape Camps Interview Team, identifying potential summer staff.
  • Assists in the hiring, training, and functional responsibilities of the Summer Staff that serve at WinShape Camps for Communities.
  • Serves as a member of assigned work team(s) as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in balancing multiple projects at once.
  • Served at least one year on Summer Staff with WinShape Camps or another camp is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrates skills in written and verbal communication, time management, training facilitation, and goal setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Willing to engage in moderate travel (15 - 20%) throughout the year and heavy travel (50-60%) in the summer.
  • Maintain regular office hours at the WinShape Camps office in Atlanta.
  • A self-professing Christ-follower, actively involved in a Christian faith community and actively pursuing Christ on a consistent basis.
  • Must hold or obtain a valid driver’s license for the state in which they are hired and have an acceptable driving record.
