We are looking for a proactive professional who is passionate about delivering an engaging onboarding experience and supporting the full recruitment lifecycle. Under the direction of Talent Acquisition leadership, this role partners closely with hiring managers to support recruiting needs, manage candidate activity within the ATS, and coordinate pre-employment requirements. The ideal candidate brings recruiting experience across a wide range of roles, from front-line positions to professional roles, and enjoys contributing new ideas to continuously improve processes. This individual is confident facilitating onboarding sessions and events, comfortable in group settings, and energized by creating positive first impressions for new staff.

 

Reports to: Senior Manager, Talent Experience and Compensation 

Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Manages the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates while ensuring strong alignment with organizational values and cultural fit
  • Partners with hiring managers to understand role requirements, develop recruitment strategies, and ensure alignment throughout the hiring process
  • Sources talent through multiple channels such as job boards, social media, networking, career fairs, referrals and proactive outreach
  • Supports the evaluation of current recruiting processes, communications, and workflows, recommending and implementing refinements to strengthen the overall recruitment process
  • Utilizes the applicant tracking system (ATS) to manage candidate records, track progress, and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation throughout the hiring process
  • Coordinates all pre-employment requirements such as background checks, new hire communications, and HRIS setup to ensure new hires are fully prepared for their first day

Onboarding

  • Responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of a structured onboarding program that includes orientation, first-year onboarding events, and optional engagement opportunities to help new staff connect with the organization’s mission, values, and culture
  • Manages logistics for all onboarding activities, including scheduling, communication, materials preparation, and coordination with internal stakeholders and facilitators
  • Tracks attendance, feedback, and program metrics to identify trends and opportunities to refine the onboarding journey
  • Maintains and updates onboarding program content, provides training and support for facilitators, manages the annual facilitator selection process, and facilitates orientation and first-year onboarding experiences.
  • Travel between Rome and Atlanta, GA campuses as needed in support of initiatives and to foster relationships. Long-distance and overnight travel may be required
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred

 

Availability:

  • Required to work onsite between 2 and 3 days per week, with more frequent onsite time initially to support strong relationship development and cultural acclimation
  • Must be available to be on-site in Rome for all onboarding events (approximately 1–2 events per month)
  • Must live 60 miles or less from the assigned job location (Rome, GA), and 150 miles or less from the Support Center (Atlanta)

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of experience in talent acquisition, including managing key steps of the full recruitment cycle
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently on assigned tasks, and follow through on action plans with support from leadership
  • Experience assisting with or facilitating orientation sessions, trainings, or group activities, including contributing to updates or creation of content or program materials
  • Basic knowledge of federal and state employment laws with a commitment to following established compliance procedures

 

Skillsets:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with candidates and staff
  • Confident and comfortable presenting or facilitating in group settings.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to manage changing priorities and navigate routine ambiguity

 

Location: Rome, Georgia

 

FLSA Status: Regular Full-Time, Exempt
